Toby Keith Finds Jesus
In a new video message on his website, Toby Keith tells his fans that he made the upcoming Yuletide album, A Classic Christmas, for them so they can have “more of the big dog” during the holidays.
Toby says that for him, Christmas is the most important birthday of the year, and he makes sure his kids celebrate it that way. Although he says he’s not religious in the sense of “reading the Bible every day,” he says he and the band pray before every show. He adds, “I’ve never been a very good role model at being a great Christian, but I still have tremendous faith. And everything that I have talent-wise or that I’ve been blessed with, I give completely up to the Lord.”
Toby says “Little Drummer Boy” is his favorite cut off the new CD, due out October 16. “Every now and then in the studio you really hit magic with everybody involved,” he says. “It was very magical the way it blended together — it was the perfect blend — and the song turned out to be really cool and different.”
