Barry Manilow Releases 70’s Classics, Christmas Compilations

American pop star Barry Manilow is releasing several compilations ranging from 70s classics to new Christmas arrangements, and several special DVDs this Fall.

Manilow is best known for his songs “Mandy” and “Copacabana”, both of which will appear on his new album, The Greatest Songs of the Seventies, out on September 18th via Arista Records. The Greatest Songs f the Seventies will not only contain a few acoustic versions of Manilow’s hits but also his take on classic songs from the era.

In the Swing of Christmas will be the name of the album slated for an early November release, with Manilow’s own jazz-styled interpretations of Christmas songs as with the accompaniment of Matt Herskowitz on piano.

Next are 2 DVDs: A Barry Manilow Christmas: Live by Request as originally broadcast in 2003 on A&E and a box set entitled Barry Manilow: The First Television Specials, to be released on the 6th of November by Rhino Entertainment/Stiletto New Media.

Since 2005, Manilow has been performing as the headlining act at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel, casino, and convention centre.
