Toby Keith Releases More Info on New Christmas CD
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Show Dog Nashville, the full-service record label owned and operated by entertainer Toby Keith, will release the singer’s first holiday album in more than a decade this fall. The two-disc A Classic Christmas features Keith’s renditions of traditional yuletide favorites.
Produced by Keith and Grammy winner Randy Scruggs, the set offers tasteful retellings of beloved favorites including “White Christmas,” “Silver Bells” and “The Christmas Song” – all framed by Toby’s warm, distinctive vocal stylings.
“There’s a reason people gravitate to these songs year after year, and I’m no exception,” Keith says. “I wouldn’t have considered making another Christmas record, if not for the fact that I hadn’t done any of these the first time around. And doing a double disc set let us go back and get just about all the big ones.”
His 1995 release Christmas To Christmas was marked by fresh compositions, many of them penned by Keith. For A Classic Christmas, however, the set list covers a most hallowed holiday’s most hallowed ground.
