Avril Lavigne May Revive Christmas Album
Avril Lavigne may revive the Christmas album some day.
And Lavigne’s take on a potential Christmas album will surprise some people.
“I would make it completely traditional,” Lavigne said.
Talk of a possible Christmas album came up when it was pointed out to Lavigne that at this stage of her career — having “made it,” so to speak — the 22-year-old really can do whatever she wants, musically.
“It’s good, I’m relieved,” Lavigne said.
“My first record came out and it was really big, and then I basically said, ‘I’m set, now I have a career for the rest of my life.’ But when I’m writing my songs and making my records, I still have that feeling of, ‘This has to be good, this has to be good.’
“But as far as different styles of music go, I never really know what I’m going to do until I’m working on the next record.
“I think it would be fun to do an acoustic record, or a Christmas record one time.”
